LF> New mouse

Postby Naru » Sat May 24, 2014 12:39 am

Hey o/

I've been having very little patience with myself during the last weeks in this horrible heat over here.
..and in due course of things that happen when I lose my temper, I find myself needing a new mouse and something to cover my wall with now. (currently using my pen tablet)
But I'll fix that wall myself. :P

My guess is that some people here have some awesome ones or something in mind to recommend when it come to mouses.
I've been using my Logitech MX-518 for the last 9 years now and I have to say it was a good one and I preferred it because it laid nicely in the hand with it's big size.

The preferences regarding the new one should be that it have good scroll that isn't stiff and lots of macro-buttons are welcome as long as they're not in the way.

Personally using the G400, very popular mouse. It's supposed to be the successor of the MX518. Been using it for quite a while, easily best moues I've ever used. Lowest DPI is 200, highest is 3600.

The size and weight are perfect for me, but they're not adjustable and might not be perfect for you, which would be a shame D:

I and Weezel are using the Razer Naga Molten edition, great scroll like you prefer and it has 12 macro buttons on the side, for use with your thumb, and both a mouse4&5 button on the left of your index finger (these two are a little awkward to use, so I prefer not using them while gaming).
I think it fits your requirements just fine, and I highly recommend it!

I have a Razer Deathadder 2013 edition, and I would not recommend that one at all. I would go with a Logitech one, I used to have the G9, which sadly died but it served me so well for so long. I know Mr. Orange recently bought a Logitech G502 (Proteus Core) and he loves it.

Something more useful might be visiting your local hardware store and try out a few mice.

G400 and the G502 are the only ones I can find at my local retailers according to the sites. So I'll have them in mind whenever I get access to a car and try them out.
Thanks for all tips!

A SAVU from Roccat is a great mouse, just not for big hands :-)
